Our little girl is already 7 months old and I’m sitting here trying to find where the time went. Honestly got a thousand pictures and a thousand words I could say about these past 90 days but most importantly all glory to God for bestowing this blessing upon us and allowing us the time that we have spent together . So much to learn but so much I’ve learned about loving and taking care of this little baby and I’ve enjoyed every moment that I’ve had with her. I love the family I’ve been able to create and all the memories we’ve made and lord willing we have so many more in store.

Happy birthday, baby. I’m so thankful for all the love you give—to us and to me. I wouldn’t want it from anyone else. I love being the man I am for all three of my ladies; there’s truly no better feeling. Thank you for making me a father—that’s one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever been given, and for that I owe you more than I can put into words. I pray we continue to grow, get better every day, and that our love only becomes stronger with time. Welcome to the world Vayle Laron Brooks. Born @ 8:14 pm on October 13th, 2025. Words can’t explain how I’m feeling right now as I couldn’t have imagined a baby so perfect. Really just want to thank GOD most importantly for bestowing you upon us and bringing you into our lives; this is not possible without him. I truly can’t wait to see the person you grow up to become but I’m looking forward to making all the memories with the little person you are now. Thank you also to @ashlynspellman ! I couldn’t have chose a better woman to do all of this life with. You have been amazing over the last 9 months and during the labor and delivering of this baby. Been using these home workouts to keep me in shape for periods I’m not as consistently in the gym as I want to be and instead of not working out at all during those times and or making excuses, I’m just making sure I’m getting some work in regardless.

I feel like I feel and say this a lot about my paintings but this is easily one of my favorites I’ve done by far so far.

Id like to say my inspiration came from how much I love my own mama ,how impactful the love of a mother is to a child and thinking back on similar paintings I’d see growing up around my grandmothers house.

But really I didn’t have that in my mind firstly and was just going to paint something super random but just looking at the canvas before starting i knew that I wanted to paint something that had some meaning and visual emotion to it that my abstract paintings don’t normally have.

I call this one “ Gaze from a mother “.
