Amy

I've been bingeing on graphic novels since moving to Singapore, easily digesting about 20-30 titles in the past 6 months (in addition to the crazy amount of reading I'm doing for my study in MA in Arts Pedagogy & Practice). Thought I'd start to document some of them here on this ol' dusty Instagram account while I update the website - an email update is pending! (Also wow there's so many new stuff here on Instagram, I don't know where to start, WTF)

This is Vignettes of Ystov by @williambgoldsmith. The format of the story is intriguing, as it's told over several chapters, each on a two-page spread. I found myself flipping through the book several times as I recalled a character mentioned in a previous one, and my brain trying to make sense of each character's journey and seeing if they pop up in other chapters too (they do!) Beautiful brushwork and restrained use of colors throughout too.

The book is available at @nationallibrarysg and in your favorite bookstores (hopefully!)
