Art Garden AVL

It’s now been over three weeks since our lives got turned upside down and we are still out here picking up the pieces that didn’t break and trying to get em clean! 🧼
🚿 Finally, a few days ago, we were blessed with running (non-potable) water in our home and last night our internet connection returned! We’re still a long way away from ‘normal,’ but every step in that direction is an incredible relief.
🌱As we near the end of cleaning the salvaged items, we look forward to reuniting them with their artists and we are also scouring the town for a new location to be the home of Art Garden 2.0 - we’ve had some exciting leads, but it’s also a heartbreaking process (as we already knew and are now seeing first-hand) because of how little space is available and how extraordinarily expensive it all is. (We had such a sweet thing before, y’all!!!)
💚 Nonetheless, we are committed to continuing to create space and economic opportunity for local artists, especially those from strategically undervalued communities.
🙏 We are so grateful for all the helping hands and generous offers of support over these past few weeks of recovery! There is still a very long road ahead and all continued support is deeply appreciated, especially as we miss what is ordinarily the busiest time of the year for our art businesses where we have typically made the majority of our income for the year. Thanks to all of the hope y’all have being pouring in, we have hope of making it through the winter and finding a new location.
