Where do I even begin! Thanks to @brixtonlifedrawing I got the opportunity to life model in @nationalgallery alongside @brownbodyart and @bexdagless

Posing in one of the UK’s most prestigious art institutions as my thicc, qu33r AF self surrounded by  centuries old paintings was indescribable. There was something particularly magic about seeing people who weren’t a part of the class coming in and out, stumbling upon us and watching the curiosity unfold on their faces.

After each class, people applauded us and it took everything in me not to cry. It was so special and so healing. 

A few years ago, I life modelled at the V&A. At the time I really thought I knew myself, had worked it all out, and was on the path I was meant to be on. Doing it this time round, I realise just how lost young me at the V&A was. Who I am now was who I was trying to discover all those years ago.

I often say that our bodies are art; what’s also art is coming home to yourself, falling in love with your own skin, being who you were always meant to be. ✨
