Affektenlehre, I’m studying it at the moment and delighted to find a post about it on instagram! Did you know that the old church modes also have their own affects associated with them too? Whilst affekt is quintessentially baroque, it has a past in the renaissance too (although not sure if it was a concept earlier than that). Your technique is amazing by the way; such an elegant, light, and agile touch.

Keys were also chosen because of the instrument and its natural harmonic reflections, sympathetic vibrations and sonorities, especially before equal temperament.
