After Memorial Day weekend we went to Riviera Maya on our final babymoon. I snapped this photo more relaxed than I had been in a long time. Motherhood is amazing but motherhood is exhausting, especially when concurrently carrying a new baby.

In retrospect I think the universe knew I needed to feel this deep state of relaxation before the months that were around the corner. I honestly don’t know where I would be mentally right now if I had not had that opportunity to reset.

We came back to making the decision to say goodbye to my best friend/furbaby. A few days later we found out my pregnancy is high risk. A few smaller things compiled onto those things and June was one of the hardest months I’ve ever had.

Fast forward to now and I’m currently typing this from the hospital. I’m 30 weeks and will be here until the baby comes— the goal of which is to make it to 34 weeks. This week has been a doozy. I’ll either be schedule for a c-hysterectomy under general anesthesia around 34 weeks or be rushed to an OR if the complications present themselves before then. I won’t be at home with Brian or my babies until then. I’m anxious and scared while trying to stay optimistic.

My official diagnosis is complete placenta previa with placenta accreta and suspected placenta increta. If anyone has been there and has encouragement I would love to hear from you. I’m stable and baby boy is doing great.

Other than that— prayers, thoughts, vibes, encouragement is so, so appreciated.

Brian brought me four books so I’ll be working through those with not much else to do.
