✨ Introducing Odin Graham ✨

In a bizarre set of circumstances we ended up welcoming a new Berner puppy into the family. After getting more involved with rescues and shelters, I vowed to myself to never buy from a breeder again, accepting that I may never have another Bernese after Brady.

I have been sent a couple of Berners and St. Bernards in rescues but the timing wasn’t quite right. Fast forward to recently and a good friend in Flowery Branch reached out about a 10 week old Berner their neighbor got that the family was rehoming. I told myself if the Brian agreed and the Berner was free then I would heavily consider…

Welp, as fate would have it, we are once again the loving owners of one of my favorite breeds ever. 🐶

My sanity will eventually be restored 🤪 by @pupsplantsandplotlines

Honestly, who am I? I know people read like this (and even more than this) on a consistent basis but not this girl. I’m very excited to be finishing up series, starting some new series, and getting to my massive physical TBR.

The Wolf King and The Night Prince is a new favorite (unfinished) fantasy series. Dinner for Vampires sent me down a cult rabbit hole. I’m convinced Ali Hazelwood and Devney Perry are always a delight. I ranked one of the above books as a two stars. I DNF’d a book (not listed above) for the first time because it was actually trash.

I don’t think I’ve ever read this much in a month at any point in my life. I am going into the year with a very realistic goal of 36 books. I usually hit a rut where I can’t focus on reading. Usually it’s when life gets chaotic or my anxiety is the forerunner in my brain. This year I’m trying to reclaim my mental space and make everything in my life healthier (my body, my mind, my relationships, etc). Feeling encouraged with what I was able to read in January (kicking out unread books on my shelves and finishing series)! After Memorial Day weekend we went to Riviera Maya on our final babymoon. I snapped this photo more relaxed than I had been in a long time. Motherhood is amazing but motherhood is exhausting, especially when concurrently carrying a new baby.

In retrospect I think the universe knew I needed to feel this deep state of relaxation before the months that were around the corner. I honestly don’t know where I would be mentally right now if I had not had that opportunity to reset.

We came back to making the decision to say goodbye to my best friend/furbaby. A few days later we found out my pregnancy is high risk. A few smaller things compiled onto those things and June was one of the hardest months I’ve ever had.

Fast forward to now and I’m currently typing this from the hospital. I’m 30 weeks and will be here until the baby comes— the goal of which is to make it to 34 weeks. This week has been a doozy. I’ll either be schedule for a c-hysterectomy under general anesthesia around 34 weeks or be rushed to an OR if the complications present themselves before then. I won’t be at home with Brian or my babies until then. I’m anxious and scared while trying to stay optimistic.

My official diagnosis is complete placenta previa with placenta accreta and suspected placenta increta. If anyone has been there and has encouragement I would love to hear from you. I’m stable and baby boy is doing great.

Other than that— prayers, thoughts, vibes, encouragement is so, so appreciated.

Brian brought me four books so I’ll be working through those with not much else to do.

Haven’t hard launched the library office yet as the final touches are still underway but LOOK HOW GOOD BRADY LOOKS lounging casually in there! 🖤🤍

This year we have slowely been transforming my dingy, boring office into the library office of my dreams.

Still waiting on the new light fixture and curtain rod to get here. Still have to pick out the hardware for the cabinets and frame some art to hang. BUT it’s really coming together 😍
