📖 ︎What is a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 and why you should start one
Finally updated my Commonplace Book, April ~ June last week!
I first heard about Commonplace Books back in 2022 and wanted a reason to use an otherwise spare planner last year. Using a dated planner helped me keep consistent but any notebook would work.
It’s actually one of the journals I decided not to do last year but missed it so have started one for 2025 in a blank dot grid journal.
I had fallen behind a little sticking things in but found some time last week to update the past few months. To keep organised I have a file where I collect clippings and articles to include.
This journal has reminded me to buy the occasional newspaper but a lot of inspiration is also saved from the wonderful @simplethingsmag
Let me know in the comments if you have tried to keep a commonplace journal or if you think it is something you will try next year.

Did you create the journal cover using Amy Tangerine paper, or did you purchase it as is?

I am drawn to the actual notebook with the craft paper. Can you please share where you purchased it?

I’ve just started journaling and I’d like to know what a commonplace journal is?

I want to add my hobbies references. Course I am taking. Keeping track of shop clothes sizes I am. Kiss school uniform etc.

I'm very excited to start one. I currently use Google keep to remind me of things. But I get so lost in there and I prefer using a notebook.

I have recently been considering starting one as I keep writing things in my journal and then have to go find my old ones to try and figure out where I wrote it 😂
