Just heard the devastating news of the passing of Ozzy Osbourne!
He and his music were one of my first great loves in the hard rock/heavy metal genre. I still thoroughly enjoy his legacy in that area.
For me, as well as for many others, he is and remains one of the most important musicians who has influenced generations and will continue to do so for a very long time.
His recent grand farewell concert with the original lineup of Black Sabbath was the crowning achievement of his work and life.
Sharon, his children, and he himself gave themselves and hard rock and metal-loving fans a tremendous gift with it. What an accomplishment!
We have lost the prince of darkness! And that hurts deeply. My musical heart cries so much right now and in the days to come.
I wish Sharon, the children, the rest of the family, and his closest friends much strength during this extremely difficult time.
Rest in peace, Prince of Darkness. You were an inspiration to many of us, and were and will stay one of my idols, and I will miss you terribly!!!
