Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a time to honor the resilience and preservation of diverse cultures around the world.

One thing I’ve observed among them is the shared values of respect for nature, reverence for elders, and the strength of community. Beyond that, powerful voices that deserve to be heard, and our time to listen, human to human.

Today, I’m reminded of the faces I’ve been fortunate to share a meal, a conversation, or presence with. Some of us couldn’t communicate with words, yet the connection felt genuine, welcoming, and deeply human.
