I’m so excited to post about a new opera we are performing on February 1st, 2026 at The Brockman Hall for Opera with The Shepherd School’s phenomenal chamber orchestra, conducting students, and Conducted by Miguel Harth-Bedoya and Directed by Paul Curran! @miguelharthbedoya @paulcurranopera @anaspasovska_
I am so grateful to be in the world premiere of @karimalzand’s contemporary opera, A Joint Interest. Joined by so many incredible, talented colleagues for the 50th Anniversary continuation of The Shepherd School of Music! This opera is so funny and if you have the chance to support the students here, please come out and watch this! It is a double bill with Bolcom’s Lucretia.
Working through this opera has been a pleasure and premiering a new work is one of the greatest privileges for young artists! Thank you so much to @shepherd_school for these opportunities! @riceuniversity @ricegradschool
How lucky we are to make music, to share music, and have art in our lives!
