Lately I’ve been trying to get more steps in and spend more time on my feet, and apps like these not only help motivate me to get outside, they also allow me to connect to the world around me on a deeper level!

🔎 Seek by iNaturalist
Seek is a species identification app that uses your photos and camera to identify any species — including plants, animals, fungi, insects, and more.
They host monthly challenges that makes species identification feel like a scavenger hunt and you can look back at all of your observations! @seekbyinat

🦅 Merlin by Cornell Labs
Merlin is a bird identification app. When it comes to birding it can be hard to catch them on camera, and you might only be able to hear it’s call, luckily the Merlin app can identify bird species using the microphone or the camera on your phone!
It also keeps track of your life list and pairs with eBird! @merlin.bird.id

🌲 Treecard: Treecard is a steps tracker that turns your steps into real trees planted! Your steps help fund efforts to restore biodiversity across the globe!
It also tracks your efforts and gives you an impact report. Plus you get to plant your own virtual forest with the trees you earn to help visualize your impact! @treecard

Do you use any of these?
What apps help you to get outside more?

Happy trails!
