This painting, Riverview, Winter is inspired by the view from mother kitchen in my childhood home overlooking the Saugatuck River in Westport, CT. I struggled to capture the magic of a Connecticut winter sunset, February and cold, snow on the ground, rhodedendrons curled tight.
