4 months agoI do a 5000 yd ladder 50, 100, 150, 200 etc up to 500 then down again. My favorite when i cant think of what to do😁
4 months agoLove the broken mile! Also, love the broken 500 to get your 100 yard pace. 25, 50, 75, 100, 100, 75, 50, 25 with 10 seconds rest. Subtract 1:10 from your overall time then divide by 5. Swimming 1:30’s days, which I don’t hate.
4 months agoI’ve always used 1 lap = 2 lengths of the pool. If I’m going to swim a lap, I want to finish where I started.
5 months ago11->1 laps is 3300. 6600 in 50m. 11->1 LENGTHS is 1650. Great set though
5 months agoWe used to do a similar set that was 8,1,7,1,6,1...8 laps moderate free, 1 lap fly fast, 7 laps moderate free, 1 lap back fast, etc. Gets you 1100 yards. One of my favs!
5 months ago@wildgarlic1 one would think lap means a 50 but collegiate swimmer here, we use lap meaning a 25. So a 100 has 4 laps in it. Just the lingo even though technically doesnt make sense 🤷🏼♀️
5 months agoI’ve done these! If you have a competitive swimming background, it’s fun to do a 200IM for the 8 lengths, and a 100IM for the 4 lengths. Breaks it up nicely.
