For MHW Climb Athlete @ninaarthaud the feeling that comes from giving everything you have and, when you least expect it, having everything come together on a boulder is why she loves climbing. This is what she experienced sending Backwash (v12) in Val Bavona, Switzerland.

“I’d already tried the boulder several times and honestly thought I was too tired to send it that night. But I wanted to give it one last try anyway. Once I left the ground, everything started to flow. I still had to fight through the last moves, but I wasn’t really thinking anymore. I was just climbing.

Reaching the top caught me by surprise. It’s hard to describe this feeling, but it’s probably the reason I keep coming back. I felt deeply grateful to experience a moment like that.”
