But the truth is… Nala was never part of the plan.
Somehow, this tiny little calico walked into our lives and became the missing puzzle piece we never knew was missing.
Nala has become such a beautiful and natural part of our little unconventional life. She fills our home with so much joy, gives us a reason to slow down, and reminds us that family doesn’t always look the way you expect it to.
And celebrating her has become one of my favorite ways to love.
Hosting little gatherings, creating thoughtful details, and bringing the people I love together is truly my love language. Every sign, every custom sticker, every little pun, every menu card, every tiny detail was created simply because I knew it would make us smile and become a memory we’d talk about long after the fish came down lol
This year, that love turned into Nala’s Fish Market — a little seaside birthday brunch for our favorite little TWO-na.
Life moves so quickly, and I’m learning that the moments worth celebrating don’t have to be the biggest ones. Sometimes they’re just two humans throwing a fish-themed birthday party for the little cat who completely changed their world.
To our sweet girl — thank you for giving us so many reasons to celebrate the ordinary. Happy 2nd Birthday, Nala. You’ll always be our favorite catch. 🐟🤍
