When the call came for us to move to Colorado so Bobby could play for the Broncos, this was the very first trail we hiked as a family—before Gaia was even born.

At the time, we’d only purchased our home as a vacation getaway. But life has a beautiful way of changing your plans. What began as a retreat slowly became the place where we put down roots, renovating it into the family ranch we love today.

This trail begins just beyond our land, and every time I walk it, I’m reminded of how much can change from one brave “yes.”

I thought I’d share it with you. It’s one of the most beautiful hikes in the area, with sweeping views of Pikes Peak (Tava Mountain) and meadows overflowing with wildflowers this time of year.
