When @ericclapton’s fabled ‘Beano’ ’Burst was stolen at the height of his mid-60s Bluesbreakers fame, he turned to @andysummers_official for a replacement.
That guitar, a 1960 Les Paul Standard, was the one Eric used for his next project, an all-new power trio named @creambandofficial. Hidden away from public view for nearly 60 years, the guitar – as influential in its way as ‘Beano’ – has now resurfaced in Paris, and we were able to get up close with it and tell its remarkable story.

I think it’s funny how the comments show that the vintage guitar circus, especially the one with artist-owned instruments, is becoming more and more absurd. People don’t really care about it anymore and don’t fall for another limited 25k Gibson artist recreation of whatever guitar whoever played whenever. It’s a healthy progression, I think. Goes to show capitalism gets the best of everything and people are slowly seeing through it all.

Gibson guitars are what built Clapton's legacy all through the 60's then he started using the Stratocaster. Les Paul and SG guitars made him famous though
