100miles. It’s taken me a few moments to put this race into words—not because it went exactly how I hoped, but because it didn’t. Around mile 82, a crash caused by something completely out of my control left me with a bloody/bruised knee, a sprained ankle, and the realization that the goal time I was on track for was no longer possible, and that hit hard.

Though I first saw it as a failure, this race is a reminder that success isn’t always measured by the finish time. God gave me the strength & spirit to keep going and finish when it would’ve been easier to stop - I’m blessed to have a body capable of doing hard things, and even more grateful for the opportunity to keep showing up and proving to myself I’m capable of more than I think.

As competitive athletes, we know that sometimes s&?t happens that’s outside of our control. It’s how we handle that unpredictability in the moment that matters. You persevered when others would have accepted a DNF. Any way you look at it, you succeeded. Congrats!
