A thick stem belongs at a pub, not a dinner party. The higher the risk of snapping the better.
Matching plates are for restaurants. Dinner parties are for clashing on purpose.
Nobody said a tablecloth has to be linen. A rug across the table does more storytelling than any cloth ever could.
Why do most plate sets only come in fours? Six is the hosting sweet spot.
Endless time spent steaming linens for one dinner party is where I draw the line. I’ve finally discovered a much faster way with minimal effort. Comment below if you want to see the trick that I’m now using.
