@flockfiberfestival 2026, you have my whole heart.

No one will be surprised when I say this again: I believe Flock is one of the most beautiful knitting events in the world. Everything is thoughtfully done: the venue, the organization, the marketplace, the classes, the talks, the people. It manages to feel both inspiring and deeply human at the same time.

But if I’m honest, it’s never really been about the event itself.

This time, It started days before, with @sari_n_’s book celebration on Bainbridge Island. The warmth of @shoplamercerie and @thelambandkid.
@knitpurl’s legendary pool party. Long breakfasts, lunches and dinners that last until late, conversations that become tears, tears that become laughter. Old friends, new friends, and those wonderful people who somehow become family after just one shared afternoon.

Then comes the weekend itself.

The hugs.
The handwritten letters.
The gifts I still can’t believe you brought me.
The stories you trusted me with.
The moments when you stopped me just to say that something I had written, photographed, published or simply said had mattered to you.

You have no idea what that means to me.

Thank you for seeing me, not only the work, but also the person behind it. Thank you for acknowledging my struggles, for sharing yours, and for reminding me that vulnerability has always been one of the greatest strengths of this community.

To all the knitters, designers, makers, yarn dyers, shop owners, fellow entrepreneurs, old friends and brand-new ones: thank you for making me feel loved, welcomed and at home.

You are the reason I keep doing this.
You are the reason I keep believing in creativity, kindness and community.

I hope, in return, you know this:

I’ll always be cheering for you, too.

See you somewhere in the world soon. ❤️

Jonna

I feel so incredibly lucky that I got to have you behind the camera for my next book. You have been so genuinely supportive of the vision and that means a lot. I Can’t wait to see you again in Shetland for the launch! 😘

Yes to all of that. But unfortunately the classes all sell out so fast ( we are talking minutes here not hours) that it is a huge disappointment to so many!!! I would love to take a day off work to take a class or two but literally everything sold out in minutes as I was adding to cart!

It was great talking with you at La Mercerie booth at Flock. Your publications are always an inspiration. We visit Scandinavia at least every other year and Finland is next on our list.

Kiitos! Thank you for coming to the beautiful PNW. I love everything Laine and it was so nice to meet Sari. I hope I entertained her with the 6-8 Finnish words I know 🤣 To clarify—all good one.
