CHEERS TO NEW BEGINNINGS ☄️✨
As we close out this iteration of Youth of the Diaspora, we’re also making space to return YOTD to the youth, to once again become a space that is youth-led, youth-shaped, and youth-owned.
Because this work was never meant to be something we simply do for young people. It is something we build with them.
And as they grow, so does their capacity to lead, teach, mentor, create, organize, and imagine new possibilities, not only for themselves, but for the young people coming behind them.
Our role is to continue world-building alongside them, while trusting them with the knowledge, tools, and space to shape what comes next.
The beauty of this work is watching young people become the very people we once hoped they would become, and then realizing they are capable of becoming so much more.
This isn’t goodbye to Youth of the Diaspora.
It’s a new beginning.
A new generation gets to decide what comes next.
And we can’t wait to see what they build.
As we step into this next chapter building our African-centered educational institute we need our community to build with us.
We’ve raised $11,830 with @cllctivly so far and still going!!!
