Ana Cichowicz describes her relationship with these moments in her own words:
“What draws me to these particular moments is the possibility of finding, in everyday life, something that seems to momentarily exceed it. I am interested in the strange, poetic and sometimes improbable worlds that can emerge from encounters already taking place around us.
I tend to think of photography less as a way of capturing a world that already exists and more as an act of world-making.”
In this selection, red connects otherwise separate moments. Changing its role from one image to another, it creates a shared visual rhythm without asking the photographs to tell the same story.
