Neighbors, heartbreaking new details are emerging from the deadly shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, where three children, ages 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher were killed.
_________________
Fifth-grade teacher Kathy Sheil Smith recalled spotting the 16-year-old gunman carrying a long gun before immediately alerting the school’s office and moving her students to a corner of the classroom.
_________________
“They were so afraid, the looks on their faces. It was really hard to see,” Smith recalled through tears. “I was just trying to calm them down.” She described how the children tried to comfort one another while fearing for their lives.

“Some kids were praying, some kids were consoling other kids, but doing so quietly because they know you don’t make any noise.”

According to reports, the teenager shot through security locks designed to protect students before entering the school’s special education area and opening fire.

In a shocking turn of events, dispatch audio reportedly suggested a student’s father followed the shooter inside and fatally shot him. Authorities have not confirmed that account.

A 7-year-old student and a 54-year-old teacher were also reportedly rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

The song on this post is called ‘Satellite’ and it’s about worrying that you’ve used up all the chances given in life and not making it. ❤️ Love Is the Most Beautiful Gift of All

Some feelings are too precious for words. They live in the warmth of a smile, the tenderness of a hug, and the quiet joy of knowing someone cares. If there’s someone who makes your world a little brighter, let this be a beautiful reminder of how much they mean to you. Sending love, from my heart to yours. 🌹
