The ✨ reality ✨ of making new opera.
It’s the beginning of week 3 in the 4.48 Psychosis room and we’re DRILLING these harder sections. Please enjoy me getting lost in the sauce (aka the unofficial tagline of this show that we have all utilised at some point…)
This is Scene 22, an almost hypnotic chant that mimicks Henry Murray’s “Psychogenic Needs”, contrasting human aspiration to the all consuming reality of severe depression.
In all seriousness: I love this music @philipvenables . I love the feeling of building it brick by brick until it clicks.
