Katie G. Whipple

Please join me on Saturday, October 3rd for the opening of East End Collective 9 at the @southamptonartscenter from 5-7pm. It will be a fabulous show of local artists from the East End! I’m so excited to finally be showing in the town I’ve called home for the last 6 years.

I will be showing a collection of flower paintings, all of which were painted here in Southampton from flowers grown in my own garden! Pictured here is “Zinnia Study”, the painting I made in preparation for the large work I am painting now. It isn’t typical for me to show something in this state of ‘work in progress’, but my husband tells me it is interesting and worthwhile to show my whole process!

I hope to see you at the opening on Saturday, local friends!
