a month agoDo you have any experience with binos that have laser range finder capability? I am trying to decide purchasing a weapon mounted laser range finder, and binoculars with built in range finder. Assuming ballistics solving capability for both. I was leaning binos, but your post is making me want to reconsider. Any thoughts at all by chance?
a month agoI’ve played with a bunch of them, and owned the impact4k, fire4k, and X4-2K Mounting real estate was the only differentiating factor between the Maztech and tangoinnos, others have hit the nail on the head in terms of laser capabilities in bad weather within useable range. I found these 2 to be the closest and still work extremely well. Impact is good if you’re on a super tight budget but runs off of geoballistics which I’ve found to be accurate but finicky. Super clunky/heavy and BT remote was no not a good idea. The zeroing turrets leave a ton to be desired. I’ve also gotten a chance to fondle the Arken one and put it in the same class, even though I think they’re still working out some quirks. Element looks very promising and should have some insight on it when my buddy gets his. With all of them, it’s only as good as your zero and the data you give them. Ain’t nobody got Wilcox money.
a month agoI'm about to get the T6Xi 3-18 for the MR762 and bump the T5Xi 3-15 to another gun. The T6Xis are great.
a month agoWhere’d you pick up the @koeng_co low-pro diving board? Kiiiiiinda been waiting for them to come in stock for awhile
a month agoIf you have questions just hit us up man. WMLRFs are becoming more common and 905nm NIR transmitters are your standard commercial transmitter but they struggle in bad weather or dense fog/haze. Also visible under NV because they are “in band”. 905s or similar are getting cheaper and more accessible. That’s very good for long range enjoyers of all budgets. SWIR laser transmitters are the premium option for the serious end user or competitor and that technology is also becoming more accessible, and its capabilities in adverse conditions are very desirable. Maztech 15K is the best SWIR LRF people get out there right now. They are “out of band” for NV and are invisible to NV.
a month agoNolan up at Ridgeline was telling us that the Tango Innovations Fire 4000 was really good for the money. He had that on his LPR. From what I picked up, you either get one of those or pay for the more expensive version of the maztech
