5+5: THOMAS HOLTON - This fall, we’re pleased to include Thomas Holton among the presenting artists in our upcoming 5+5 slideshow series, kicking off October 6.

For more than 20 years, @thomas_holton_photography has photographed a single Chinese-American family in Manhattan’s Chinatown for his ongoing project The Lams of Ludlow Street, an intimate portrait of one family’s evolving story. His unique project has been exhibited at institutions including the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, the New York Public Library, and the Museum of the City of New York. A book of photos from the first decade of the project was published by Kehrer Verlag in 2016.

In his slideshow, Thomas will share five photographs by other photographers that have influenced him, and five of his own that have been pivotal in his creative journey, offering insight into how he thinks about photography.

Thomas presents online on Tuesday, October 13, 6:30-7:15pm ET.
