And just like that, months of hard work came together onstage. Yesterday, my @_shadow_1one prep and posing athletes, @joshstewartofficial and @mario.c.fit competed at @musclecontest West Coast Naturals & Border States. Congratulations to both of my boys for giving it their all and bringing amazing physiques, presentation, and performances. It’s moments like these that remind me how much I love my job and how blessed I am to do what I do. Proud of you both!

First up, natural @_shadow_1one men’s physique prep athletes @joshstewartofficial making his NPC debut! Josh & I originally worked together on his posing for his first competition on the OCB. He and his previous coach killed that debut, and afterward, he asked me whether I thought he could compete and do well in the NPC. I told him Absolutely! Not just because of his physique and genetics, but because I’d already seen his work ethic firsthand during our posing sessions.
We started working together in March, spending 3 months slowly building and learning his body before beginning a 20-week prep in June. I told him from the start that we were taking our time. With him being a natural athlete, I wanted us to be strategic with our adjustments and give him the time he needed to bring his best. Yesterday, that work paid off with two first places and a second place!
We entered both West Coast Naturals, the tested show, and Border States, the non-tested show. We wanted to challenge him, and I knew he could hold his own with the big boys. You trusted me and put in the work, brother. Proud of you and everything we accomplished together. What a way to make your NPC debut!
