In the southwestern German state of Baden-Württemberg, a total of 358 so-called child marriages have been officially recorded since 2012. Only eight of these forced marriages have so far been legally annulled. According to authorities, the other 350 cases were brought to an end in other ways.

This alarming finding comes from a response by the Baden-Württemberg state government to a minor inquiry submitted by AfD state parliament members Nikolaos Boutakoglou and Emely Knorr.

The Tübingen regional authority is responsible for recording the data, the answer came from the Ministry of the Interior.

Who was Christopher Columbus?

Born in 1451, Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer who set out to find a western sea route from Europe to Asia as an alternative to sailing south and then around the massive continent of Africa. He presented his plan to both the English and Portuguese monarchs, but it wasn't until 1492 that he found his sponsor, the Spanish.

On August 3, 1492, Columbus set sail on the Niña, Pinta and Santa Maria. In October of that same year, the ships landed, not in the East Indies, as Columbus assumed, but in the Bahamas.
