SPACE WEEK 2026 CHRONICLES:

On Monday, I joined @irelandamvmtv to talk about 2 things close to my heart:
@worldspaceweek and the stars we don’t all get to see.

DYK that there are more homeless children in Ireland than there are stars you can see with the naked eye (2,500)?
Over 5,500 children are currently living in temporary accommodation and this number continues to rise.

From space,
there are no countries,
no borders,
no need for money,
or trinkets and baubles.
Just land and sea.

And for those who have seen the Earth from a distance,
they understand that we are one species
of many other species
sharing this planet together
The only home we’ve ever known.

Seeing Earth from space feels as if anything is possible.

Here’s my question:
What incredible things can we do when we work together?
Can we ensure that every child has a home?

I’m proud to be the 2026 @focusirelandcharity ‘Shine a Light’ Ambassador. Tomorrow night, Fri Oct 9th, organisations and Irish people across the country will sleep out to raise funds and awareness of this current plight.
