This Filipino American History Month 2026, OMI-CPP celebrates a story that refuses to be forgotten. A story of islands and immigration, of sacrifice and survival, of culture, courage, and community.
From the generations who crossed oceans with little more than hope, to the young Filipino Americans shaping what comes next, we celebrate them this month because they dared to dream.
We honor the farmworkers who fought for dignity. The veterans who served with courage. The elders who carried their traditions forward. The families who built community from the ground up. And the young people proudly reclaiming, remixing, and redefining what it means to be Filipino American.
Their history isn't just in textbooks: it's in their families, their food, their language, their music, their faith, and the way they show up for each other. They carry the Philippines in their hearts, while helping shape the future of America. And that's their collective power.
To every Filipino American: your story matters, your culture matters, your voice matters. This is your history, this is your moment, this is your future.
With pride, gratitude, and love,
