I am so excited that my soccer-inspired album “Keys to the Beautiful Game” is now for consideration for Best Classical Compendium and other categories in the first round of GRAMMY® Awards. This album features very cool music I commissioned from composers Tom Flaherty, Pamela Z, Ian Dicke, David Sanford, Dana Kaufman, Harold Meltzer, Christopher Cerrone, Oliver Dubon, and Adam Schoenberg. Each composer delivered their unique take on the game of soccer and I got to not just play piano (sometimes with electronics), but also to narrate (while playing) and play on the pedals wearing cleats (in Dana’s Honeyball)! And I got to collaborate with the wonderful Pamela Z on the performance of her piece Balon! If you haven’t already heard the album, please check it out. You can watch the video trailer and listen to the whole album at the link in my bio.
