He’s back!
So happy to be able to announce that I have been selected for my 7th World Championships next month in Nanjing, China!
It’s been a long 7 years since I competed at my last major championships for Great Britain, but this one feels so special because of the insane journey back from injury I’ve had since 2019! Broken ankle, torn meniscus, stress fractures, arthritis… it’s been a rollercoaster!
I’ve had many moments of doubt and fear during this comeback, most of the time feeling like I was making a mistake and embarrassing myself, and waiting for everything to fail again! The fear of failing again was so intense leading up to the British I almost quit 🤢
This journey would not of been possible without the team of people around me, who have facilitated and supported this comeback and the many ups and downs the sport brings (sorry)
Thank you to @jayscoo who has never stopped believing in me, even on the days I try my best to make him a non believer 😂
My once teammate & friend now coach @zoebrookes4, because everyone needs a fizz who takes no💩
@rejuven8physio has given me the programmes and tools to become the strongest athlete I can be! It’s taken me a long time to trust medical advice again, but Lou goes above and beyond and has helped me believe in myself body again!
Thanks to @kez2611 @bethanykbrood @clairewood2014 who have to listen to me moan and cry on bad days, and also double-up and dog sitters when I need a holiday ✈️
There are honestly too many people to thank and I’m sorry to not give a special mention to everyone but know I appreciate and love you all!
Lastly shout out to @liverpooltga and @altiusgymnastics_ the best ❤️
Congrats to all my teams mates and let’s smash it in China ❤️ 🇬🇧

Incredibly proud of you, @luke_strong2 ❤️ I absolutely love being there in the crowd, cheering you on through all the highs and, dare I say it, the lows too! 🥹 Nobody deserves this more than you! Your hard work, determination, resilience and sheer dedication have proved that it really does pay off. And to all those who ever doubted you or made you feel you weren’t good enough… well, you’ve certainly proved them wrong! 👏🔥 We’ve seen the hard work, the setbacks, the comebacks and everything in between, and now look at you! 🇬🇧🇨🇳 And @jayscoo … well, you deserve a gold medal yourself! 😂🥇 Honestly, the pair of you! What a team! The dedication, patience, belief and hard work from you both are something else. Through all the ups, downs and probably a few grey hairs along the way 😂 you’ve stuck together, kept believing and made it happen! ❤️ This time we’ll be cheering you on from home, no doubt laughing, crying, shouting at the screen and going through every emotion possible! 😂😭❤️ Go out there, believe in yourself and enjoy every single moment. You’ve earned this, and you deserve to be right where you are! You’ve got this, Luke! So, so proud of you & the team! ❤️🇬🇧🌍🏆 Come on team @liverpooltga @altiusgymnastics_ 🫶🫶🫶
