If I’m completely honest, I don’t always love sharing the hard bits of business.

Because business isn’t valued or understood in the same way something like motherhood is.

When I talk about stress or struggle in my business, the response is often “maybe it’s time to quit” or “why don’t you just get a job?” Like the hard bits somehow cancel out everything else.

With motherhood, everyone understands. Even when you’re struggling with no sleep and a myriad of other things, people just get it. You can find it really hard AND find it the most rewarding thing you’ve ever done. Both are true.

This is my dream business. My soul purpose. It’s been draining and stressful at times, and it’s asked a lot of me. It’s also the source of so much creativity, joy, connection with like-minded people, and meaning in my life.

People say business is self-development on crack and honestly... yep. It’s forced me to grow in so many ways. I think of it like the grit in the oyster that forms the pearl.

Know what I mean??

Tell me in the comments if you can relate to this.

Ha ha I see so much online that’s the opposite… people saying “well if you can’t handle it you shouldn’t have had kids” where as everyone is in love with the hustle no matter how hard it is! 😂
