Yup, we’re firing up the heaters, stocking up firewood, and officially feeling winter in the air.
And so is the El Niño hype machine.
We want nothing more than a killer winter here. Deep snow, endless powder days, and a season that delivers but before we start calling it the winter of the century, let’s take a look at the history.

@awelocal @eastsideweather I was in Mammoth for the 94/95 winter was phat in full effect! Dumping 3 feet overnight left and right snow piled up high in the streets they had to truck it out of town. It’s coming peeps don’t worry!! ❄️❄️🌨️Let’s go!

Some of my worst ski seasons were the big ones in Mammoth. The top never opens when they get a ton of snow. If they get back to back to back months of heavy snow, the top might be open 10 days.

I think 82-83 was the year that they finished plowing tioga pass just in time for fourth of july. I have a picture of my dad and me next to his truck and a snow drift that was twice the height of the truck.

22-23' was so much fun, was up in mammoth as much has possible and got "stuck" up there a few times sorry work

Well, if the storms are warm, mammoth is the only scare ski area you want to be skiing at this winter the rest of them are too low

22/23 was up there and had to extend because when it snows take advantage of it. Work can wait🙌

Yeah, after that winner when there was possibility of my mother being trapped in her home up there, yeah that was the biggest snowfall
