There is no view from nowhere: to see is already to stand somewhere, culturally, emotionally, materially and optically. Vantage Point holds seven positions in a single room without suggesting that they belong together, and asks where the artist, the viewer and Otomys each stand to look from.
For ten days – held in the heart of Sydney’s timeless pocket of Paddington – Vantage Point brings together seven artists – @carolinecollom @francesv.h_mohair @gregwood_art @helenredmondart @hermentaire @megwaltersworld and @madisynzabel – occupying a single room in a private residence. Their work is held in proximity without insisting on a shared position: close enough to compare, distinct enough to hold its own.
