Cam Newton’s girlfriend, comedian Jasmin Brown, is opening up about a realization after welcoming two children close together.

Brown said hiring a nanny finally gave her enough breathing room to recognize she had been struggling with postpartum depression.

“Oh b*tch, oh you depressed,” she said, recalling the moment it clicked.

The actress explained that the feelings seemed to hit unexpectedly, even though her youngest child is now a year old. Brown and the former NFL quarterback welcomed their daughter in February 2024, followed by a son whose arrival Newton confirmed in October 2025.

“In this moment, I’m realizing who my people are. People who show up for me, people who support me.”

Brown also expressed frustration that postpartum depression is not treated with the seriousness it deserves, particularly by men. Her experience underscores how emotional challenges can surface long after childbirth, even when a mother appears to be managing everything.
