This could have ended very differently.
There are countless amazing captains who navigate these waters with experience, passion and genuine respect for marine life. 💙 Unfortunately, a few careless ones can put wildlife at risk and give everyone else a bad name.
What could help? Speed limits near shore, better training, clear standards and greater awareness.
But what can WE do?
SEE IT.
FILM IT.
REPORT IT. 📹
Not to blame, but to learn, improve and protect.

What about affordable AI cameras or sonar systems to warn boat captains about nearby marine life - dugongs, turtles and other animals - as well as divers and swimmers? 🤔 Combined with regional speed limits in sensitive areas, this could be an interesting additional safety measure. Perhaps even underwater acoustic warnings, if proven safe and effective for marine life? Just exploring ideas - technology should support responsible navigation, never replace it!

This happens to us (divers) when diving shallow with beginners everywhere there are speed boats around. Unfortunately they send kids driving these speedboats too not certified captains or someone who might be responsible

Das versprechen die Tiere zu sehen muss aufhören, es ist die Natur in der man sich respektvoll verhalten sollte und nichts erzwingen. Der Massentourismus, das jagen der Tiere und die Anzahl der Ausflüge muss begrenzt werden!!! #savetheoceans
