I was introduced to @keithyamashita by my dear friend @rachelshechtman. What struck me most about Keith’s work was how physically resonant his poems felt to me. I felt like I already knew them.

Here is a film about our conversation. I really do hope you can get to his happening this week at The Brooklyn Museum.

she says "transmuting fear into curiosity". but when I first heard it I thought she said "custody": the legal right or responsibility to care for, control, and make decisions for (a person or property) your future self. I want to transmute my concerns about the present into a responsibility to care for (make decisions about) the future. thank you!
