Known as the “Colourful Town in the Harz Mountains” Wernigerode feels like stepping into a fairytale!
Its historic old town is filled with colourful half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and beautiful architecture that takes you back in time.
Two of its most fascinating landmarks are the Schiefe Haus (Crooked House), a former mill that leans noticeably due to centuries of water erosion, and the Kleinste Haus (Smallest House), a tiny historic building just about 2.95 metres wide!
