You learn just as much from the losses as the wins.
Felt strong after the opening run, coming in 9th. But the bike was a different story. Struggled to find my rhythm and lost 23 places. Also learnt that wearing a parachute windbreaker isnβt an aerodynamic decision.
Finished 32nd overall and 7th in my age group.
Not the result I wanted. Missed the top 4 for automatic Team GB qualification, but finished within the 120% qualifying standard, so thereβs still a chance. Now itβs a waiting game.
A real privilege to have met and competed alongside some of the best athletes in the UK. π¬π§
