Last week I asked folks what books they associated me with and well, naturally Voidwalker and Good Spirits were the top two. I know, I know we are all shocked about this development. Of course the full list are some of my favorites!

This is obviously a cause that is super personal to me and Mere doing this is so kind 💖

As many of you know a little over 2 years ago I was diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer which was found through preventative screening because I have a brca2+ mutation. Having the brca2+ mutation mostly increases my risks for Breast and Ovarian cancer with a smaller increase of pancreatic cancer and melanoma.

Since it was early but aggressive I had basically been told that a bilateral mastectomy was my best option so at the big age of 30 a month after diagnosis, I had a mastectomy. It feels wild to think that was so long ago but there's still a lifetime to go of this stupid word hanging over my head.

Knowing my risk is what helped me catch this early and for that I am always super grateful. My journey was maybe different than what you'd expect when someone says they have cancer but it's still something that changed my life (for better? worse? I'm just glad to be here honestly.)

If you have a family history please I beg you to go for genetic testing to find out if you have a brca1/2 mutation. If you don't, check your boobies! Every month! I've added a few slides with some info from the National Breast Cancer Research Foundation, American Cancer Association, my own experience and how to do a self breast exam.

🍂September Wrap Up 🍂

What a MONTH!!! This actually might be my highest amount read in a month for 2026, and I hit 100 books read!

Choosing a favorite is hard as always but especially because I listened to so many great books. Cursed City is definitely a runner up, I'm having a great time honestly.

I actually didn't listen to a ton of music this month (outside of Dehumanized on repeat, I guess)
