Op shop fabric finds are always the best surprise 💛💛

This is the @papercutpatterns #arraytop with elastic wrists made in a textured jersey remnant I found at a local Salvos. I’ve made this top in jersey before and always come back to it - it’s such an easy everyday staple. The elasticated sleeves add a little something extra as the flared sleeves aren’t very versatile as the mum uniform.

The kind of handmade piece you actually want to reach for again and again and I get so many compliments each time I wear them!

Paired here with the classic Pomona pants; I haven’t actually worn these together before, let me know if it gives pyjamas or wearable?

Finally took some proper photos of my Celestia Dress by Papercut Patterns ✨

I originally made this dress to wear to Frocktails last year, but it’s already been worn so many times since then. This version is sewn in a printed 100% silk from @saplingtextiles in Maleny and I absolutely love how soft and floaty the fabric is. Pink isn’t my usual colour I run to but the oranges and browns tone it back for me.

I made Bodice B and kept things mostly true to the pattern. I’ve sewn this dress before in linen, but the silk gives it a completely different feel. Definitely one of those dresses I reach for when I feel like leaning into something a bit more floaty and feminine.

At last some sunshine for some garden posing to show you my latest attempt to dupe a another popular Sezane piece! 🥐🇫🇷
This is my hacked @papercutpatterns #elizatrench. I have taken all the elements of the Sezane Bobby Jacket and I'm really chuffed how this turned out. It is made from beautiful quality trench coat fabric. Deadstock from @fabricgodmother and I notice they have it in stock now.
I made the short version in a size 4. Shortened it by 10cm, left off the back storm flap. Added the cuff tabs to the back instead of the cuffs. Used the smaller collar piece. I also changed the angle of the welt pocket to be parallel to the side seam and needed to make actual pockets smaller inside the lining. Talking of which, the lovely check lining fabric is from @newcrafthouse and is just the job.
