Xperimental Electro-Acoustic Soundtrack work (1925) for one the first experimental movies in its time. Commissioned by @revive_this at The Sound & Visions Institute and released by @dkmntl Records and screened one time at @eye_film. I felt this piece of work went behind a sleeve of mist. Here I worked primitively with negative space and amplified artefacts of the noise floor from vintage hardware. Parallel to the fingers on oil and glass works by Walter Ruttmann in these OPUS Series - it includes some amazing and talented violin work by @kimspierenburg and smaller pieces of violin from @kashkaa_

I'm always in the pursuit of a resistance. Being yourself is the most truthful gift. I want to tell an imperfect story, with friction and it's cracks, guided by thoughts, opinions and feelings. Then I leave it for you to decide what you think of it. Conforming is a dead holder for every art in its current form. Always protect the pursuit of your artistry.

the most beautiful fantasy and twisted experience one could have in a weekend.

Performing with @ensemblelesapaches, led by @jmasmondet and composed by @fabiencali in het Muziekgebouw, was a dream come true supported with open heart from insanely talented musicians and artists. Truly inspiring show to be a part of.

Followed by a live show on Jera on Air with the best production squad from the south :), i could see another dream come true on this massive festival.

And ending the weekend with a electric digi set with the genius hybrid punkster @luisurreal in Rotterdam.

A new energy is entering the Rave-L party. 🖤

We are thrilled to welcome Parrish Smith (@parrishxsmith) to Holland Festival, joining the Rave-L lineup alongside Les Apaches (@ensemblelesapaches). The Dutch DJ, producer and visual artist is known for his intense, hypnotic sound that moves between techno, punk, rock and experimental music. This year at Holland Festival, he brings a fearless, boundary-breaking presence to the stage. Deeply informed by his search for identity and his commitment to creating space for underrepresented voices, his performances are as much about raw emotion as they are about getting a room to move.

In his own words:
“Orchestral music is a major source of inspiration for me as a film lover, storyteller, and artist working in experimental music. Because of this, it has always been a dream of mine to collaborate with an orchestra at a point in my life where I still have relatively little technical knowledge of it. I hope this will lead to surprising possibilities together with Les Apaches. My strength lies in taking risks, immersing myself in the unknown, and getting people to dance to something new that feels relevant to the present moment. That is also what I recognize in Les Apaches; I am deeply impressed by their compositional work and can’t wait to bring this collaboration to life.”
