Hello friends! We are so excited to announce our first piece of programming in two years!! Partial Shade and All the Sudden invite you to join us for a two day ceramic pit fire event. Participating artists will layer ceramics and various colorants in a large hole dug into the ground and light the entire thing on fire, triggering an atmospheric process. At 4pm on Saturday 2.12, the firing stage will be opened to the public, and there will be a dinner of baked potatoes cooked over the fire available for purchase. The following day, on Sunday 2.13, the participating artists will collectively excavate their newly-fired ceramic objects from the pit, and these objects will be installed throughout the afternoon for an exhibition in All the Sudden’s warehouse gallery space. The public is invited to attend the firing and the exhibit's reception from 4-8pm on Saturday & Sunday.

Featuring:
Zoe Berg, Trey Burns, Tamara Johnson, Emily Lee, Kerry Maguire, Katy McCarthy, Michael Muelhaupt, Maura Murnane, Jay Roff-Garcia, Henry Smith, Rachael Starbuck, Ariel Wood taken in Austin, Texas by @partial_shade
