When someone asks us if Chompsky is any quieter without a tongue … 🙉

Chomp is a 100% German Shepherd dog found as a stray in Bakersfield CA and dropped at our house by @deservingdogs in 2019 😅 He arrived with this confidence and spunk despite his different ability. He’s such a bad ass! Through trial and error we got him properly hydrated ( using a stream of water and gravity ) and eating well by giving his food the right consistency and today he is thriving!

He’ll be headed in for his first dental pretty soon and our vet seems pretty excited (and confident) to intubate her first tongueless dog. 😬 taken in Pasadena, California by @pasadenapaws

Polliwog’s puppies need some frog themed names. Naming is so hard for me 😅 I out too much pressure on choosing the absolute perfect name for a dog only to have adopters change it weeks later (which we love and encourage). So help me name them! Last week Gigi was in respiratory distress and had to be rushed into the emergency room by @pasadenapaws. She was unresponsive by the time we got to emergency and was showing symptoms of congestive heart failure. After thousands of dollars to stabilize her and diagnostics run we were able to get a diagnosis. Gigi beat cancer back in October when we had several masses removed off her and we were hopeful for her future. She had just gotten out of a very neglectful and chaotic home only to now be battling congestive heart failure. We have been able to bring her home and she’s been stable but we’re not totally sure how much longer she has left. We’re not sure if she’ll be hospice and stay in out care or if she can even be adopted out at this point. There’s still a lot of unknowns for her but we’re doing our best to make her life as safe and comfortable as possible. She saw her regular vet at @countryanimalclinic yesterday for her recheck and to come up with a long term care plan for her. I just wanted to say thank you so much to all the people that contributed to her hospital stay. I’m going to reflect the fundraiser amount to how much we spent on her to see if we can at least raise enough to cover the bill. by @pasadenapaws

Thank you all so much for donating so far to Gigis fundraiser. We’ve spent thousands so far on her. Gigi came to us 6 months ago from a hoarding case. She was living in an RV with 17 other dogs. We took in Gigi because she needed a lot of medical and had a huge mammary mass that we removed. It ended up being cancer but we removed it all and she’s been doing so well. That was three months ago. We were just getting ready to do her 3 month check up and X-rays but she went into respiratory distress and had to be rushed to the closest hospital. Unfortunately that was a VCA that is way overpriced. It was our only option though because she was fading quickly. We got her there in time to get her in oxygen and have her bounce back so we could start doing diagnostics. Sadly we found out she’s now in heart failure. We started her on meds and continued oxygen therapy. We go above and beyond for our dogs but because of the hospital she’s at we’re having to raise 3x the amount we typically would be charged. If you could help us with any amount it would be very helpful! Her estimate is $7k-$9k so far. by @pasadenapaws

One of our senior @deserving_paws pups Gigi had to be rushed to the emergency hospital today because she was in respiratory distress. She’s currently hospitalized and on oxygen at the moment. We’re faced with a $7,000-$9,000 estimate for her and could use some help. Will keep you all updated but please think good thoughts for her. We just removed some cancerous growths on her in October and she was doing so incredibly well so this was very unexpected. by @pasadenapaws

Did you know the shelters are full?
Rescues are overrun with amazing dogs puppies cats etc. if they aren’t rescued they are euthanized. also please spay and neuter your pets. taken in Riverside County Department of Animal Services by @pasadenapaws
