Pam's pick of Hygge.

There are too many favs to pick from, but this photograph is particularly special as the production took over a year from concept, photographing the landscape & then knitting begun the following May to match the colours in the parched grass & south downs chalk. When photographed the following Autumn, the colours happily matched and produced this stunning shot. The figure is stoic and strong and to me reflects on mythology and celtic goddesses.

This is part of the Invisible Jumpers series, for which Joseph Ford has won numerous awards.

"David Bray's May Day is my favourite piece because it feels like a window to another world. Despite its scale, it holds an incredible presence in the space. To me, it contains elements of both mystery and tranquility. My favourite detail is the warmth coming in over the horizon to brighten the dark landscape."

Thank you to everyone who joined our Hygge exhibition opening on Thursday night! 🍂🍁💫The gallery was humming with positivity and warming Hygge vibes as we approach the autumn season. It was wonderful to see so many new and familiar faces and also welcome new international artists Bob&Eve and Joseph Ford.
