It's been a tourtastic couple of months that's for sure!! I'm very grateful that even in this tough economy I've got this wonderful work as a freelance tour guide in beautiful Brum 🫶 Thanks to @positivelybirminghamtours 🏙️ @birminghamrestaurantfestival 🍴 @run_ofakind 👟 for developing such fantastic and unique tourism experiences that locals, foreign visitors and journalists are coming along to learn why it's so fab bab.

This is the definition of "nice work if you can get it". It's a steep learning curve, but Brum city center was built on a high plateau 🪜😉

Another runderful @run_ofakind in Brum 🧡👟 Thanks to the lovely group of 7 city explorers who joined me 🫶

These tours happen once a month on a Sunday morning. Culture + running + getting your 10k in 👌 A relaxed jogging pace (around 6.30 min KMs but we tailor to the group) with 10 stops for a few minutes of Brum tales.

AND something you don’t realise until you’re out there… how different the city centre feels on a Sunday morning. The night before has faded, the streets are slowly waking up, the sunshine is spilling across the buildings, and there’s a calm, kind of magical atmosphere before the city gets going again. ☀️🏙️

Take to the city streets for the BEST of Birmingham 10k Running Tour!

THIS Sunday 11 October at 10am.

Run past iconic sights and hidden gems, including Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight''s Digbeth Loc Studios where Peaky Blinders the film was made. It also houses other big productions including the BBC's MasterChef. as the BBC build their new home nearby at the old tea factory, another sight we'll stop at.

We stop 10 times over 10k, for a quick cool story whilst we catch our breath, combining running and culture for @run_ofakind 🧡

Finally got my ass to this one! 🌳👟🍑 As a Birmingham gal it's taken me far too long to get around to it...years it's been on the to do list! Also had a walk around the Elan Valley to-scale sculpture, another first I've been meaning to do for ages!
Slightly overactive imagination today re the killer robo-swans 😆 So glad I'm not working on Saturday mornings now so I can enjoy park running again 🫶

Finally got to a Free Jazz Friday 🎷
Been on the Birmingham to-do list for many a year and how lucky I feel to have wandered in on the stunning vintage vocals of @annie.majin for a @womenin_jazz special 🎤🎻🎷🎹 (I filmed my walk-in so you can experience that too)

5pm every Friday in the @symphonyhallbirmingham upstairs foyer bar aka the #jenniferblackwellspace courtesy of @bmusic_ltd

Felt very comfortable going alone as a woman, happily sat there sipping a white wine (albeit from a plastic cup 🤔 ) for an hour and a half in a state of complete escapism to a New Yorky Brum. Kind of significant considering the date. Walked out to a beautiful sunset sky too.

Shots galore in a historic JQ pub... but of the professional photography kind 📸

My pre wedding photoshoot in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, thank you @temperandbrown for letting us have a few shots inside this beautiful historic pub, and a lovely Negroni and beer!

Our photographer Darren @everybodysmile3, king of candid, produced the vibrancy we wanted. He suggested an urban setting ahead of our woodland wedding so we had some cool contrasting photos of urban spaces to mix with our green place 🏙️🌳

The JQ is where my engagement ring is from, and where Stu lived when we began "courting". He lived opposite this fab pub, and we go back regularly for the welcoming vibes and unique events from Royfield and team 🫶🍻 guest speakers, Bham music icons, soul food 👌 it's a very brum-positive place full of Brum nostalgia so obviously I love that 🐂⏩

If you're after a pre wedding shoot location then I 💯 recommend the jewellery quarter for all the textures of 18th-century architecture, Georgian squares, red brick Victorian factories with multi-pane workshop windows, vibrant front doors of townhouses, and of course, excellent pubs for a refreshing drink after all the posing!

Classy chaos 😅 🍸🍹 hen do began with a cocktail masterclass from Carl aka @thegintlemanuk attempted to keep it classy by having it at Bazaar Harvey Nics... even though we drank gin tinnies on the train in, and I was sipping from the obligatory cock straw. 😆

As someone who appreciates a bit of history, I very much enjoyed learning the oriGINs of each cocktail.
