Did you know 💜 Peer Productions 💜 runs a training programme exclusively for young adults (18-25 years) with learning disabilities?

It’s called the Peer Employment Pathway or PEP for short!

Young people with an EHCP are usually funded by their local authorities.

Maybe you or your loved one is thinking about applying but feel worried not knowing what to expect? 🤔

On our website 💻 you’ll find lots of information including our half term PEP newsletters 🗞️ and weekly “here’s what happened at Peer this week” TikToks. 📱

Get in touch letter ✉️ ☎️ if you’d like to learn more! taken in Woking by @peerproductions

Our talented young actors and theatre-makers have had another productive week here at Peer, and now they get to unwind and recharge during their well-deserved half term break! 💜

🎭They've been busy bringing Nina Lemon - Playwright's powerful play Masking to life. With sold-out shows lined up at Surrey secondary schools, our PAD actors have been working hard mastering their lines, recording audio, and fine-tuning their choreography.

It’s been a true team effort: PEP theatre-maker Millie lent a hand editing the audio 🎧, and our PAD learners turned their talents to make-up 💄and photography 📸 for one of the show’s projections. by @peerproductions

Yesterday, our whole company enjoyed a brilliant theatre trip to see Tristan & Yseult at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre! 💜

We had such a wonderful time, and of course, we were the BEST audience! 👏🤩

A fantastic show, enjoyed by all. by @peerproductions

🎉 20 years of Peer! 🎉

This year we're celebrating a big milestone. Peer Productions began in August 2006, and our very first cohort of actors started their training in January 2007.

That's 20 years of plays, 20 years of impact, and 20 years of young people's lives changed.

To mark it, we'll be posting every Friday throughout the year, looking back at the people, productions and moments that made Peer what it is today.

📸 Our first photo shows the very first group of PAD actors, touring The Homophobia Project. Where it all began!

The rest is just to whet your appetite. Over the coming weeks we'll take a deep dive into the work behind them, so watch this space! 👀
